MacArthur “Mac” Coffin II (SCC ’69) of Burlington, passed away on March 17, 2022.
An active figure in the community, Coffin was a longtime SCC Foundation board member.
A memorial has been established for SCC Foundation Scholarships.
Betty Dodds (BJC ‘66) of Danville, passed away on April 25, 2022.
She valued her family and was an active member of Asbury Methodist Church for over 70 years.
A scholarship was established in 2001 by Dr. Patt Dodds to honor her parents.
Ronald Ellerhoff (BJC ’67) of Middletown, passed away on November 14, 2021.
Above all else, the Army veteran and attorney valued his family.
His family established a scholarship in his name for the automotive technology program.
Donald Landes (BJC ’57) of Burlington, passed away on April 15, 2022.
Landes enjoyed a long career in precision machining at Schaeffer Pen Company and as an instructor for 27 years at SCC.
A dedicated educator, Donald received the Instructor Emeritus Award from the college in 1995.
Alier Riak (SCC ’19) of Australia, passed away on March 13, 2022.
The SCC graduate was a promising basketball player, having recently signed on to play for a semi-professional basketball team. He is remembered for his gentle spirit.
Eileen Winegard (BJC ’41) of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away on December 6, 2021.
Winegard led a successful career at the Iowa Ordnance Plant.
When her husband, John, began his career in electronics, Eileen placed an investment that established the Winegard Company in Burlington.
