SCC students interested in musical pursuits can now take digital music classes using the latest industry software and digital workstations.
Thanks in part to the Murray Foundation grant, the new Digital Music Lab features 12 state-of-the-art digital workstations. Recent additions to the music class offerings include Digital Music Production, Jazz History and Appreciation, Class Piano, and Jazz Ensemble.

SCC celebrated the new Fort Madison Center with a ribbon cutting in October. The center is home to adult education and literacy services, and select lifelong learning classes.
The former home of CarSmart, the property was gifted to SCC by the Shottenkirk family in 2019 and underwent over $660K in renovations to turn the facility into a learning center.

The Automotive Technology program has earned re-accreditation for Master Automobile Service Technology.
This accreditation is the highest level of program accreditation recognized by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
