Dr. Deborah Wright, SCC’s economics and business professor, colleague, and friend, has passed at the end of November.
Dr. Wright graduated from Fort Madison High School and began her lifelong career of education and learning. She attended Western Illinois University and graduated with a bachelor’s in business and economics and accountancy. She went on to graduate from Western Illinois University with a Master of Arts in economics. She earned her PhD from Northern Illinois University.
Dr. Wright received several awards and honors such as Graduate Economic Association President, Outstanding Economics Teaching Assistant, and Outstanding Economics Graduate Paper.
Dr. Wright was a member of the American Economic Association and was inducted into Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society in 1997.
She is missed by the SCC community.
